Waste Management

R&W has assisted numerous clients with the identification, characterization, and proper management of specific waste streams from historical operations, ongoing operations, and emergency cleanups. R&W provides site identification forms, training, and audits of compliance with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) regulations.

RCRA hazardous waste regulations can be vastly complicated. For example, gasoline-contaminated soil is exempt from RCRA regulations only if the soil is from the cleanup of a leaking underground storage tank (LUST). So depending on the source of the contamination, other gasoline-contaminated soil (e.g., from a spill) may need to be managed under different regulations.

R&W has guided clients through the maze of regulations when evaluating the proper disposal of solid and liquid waste.
